It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Peter Rosychuk passed away peacefully with his loving granddaughter Chantal at his side on Monday, November 18, 2019 in Westlock, AB. Peter was the last surviving member of his family. He was 96 years old. Peter enjoyed a rewarding and fulfilling career as a Northern Alberta Railway Station Agent and Telegrapher. Peter is survived by his two sons, Larry Rosychuk of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and Jim Rosychuk of Lloydminster, Alberta, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Louise Rosychuk of Edmonton, Alberta, Marion (Floyd) Kostyk of Athabasca, Alberta and Patsy Neal of Leduc, Alberta, his brother- in-law Ralph (Daphne) Wiechert of Leduc, Alberta. Peter was predeceased by his wife Margie Rosychuk, his daughter Judy Rosychuk, his granddaughter Holly Rosychuk, his parents Gavrilo and Katherine Rosychuk, his brothers George (Olga), Steve (Margaret), Jack (Rose) and Gabe, his sisters, Mary (Boris) Tomashewsky, Katie (John) Dowhaniuk, Lucy (lack) Shipka, step-brother Bill (Julie) Chibree, step¬sister Lillian Chibree, father and mother in-law, Major and Della Wiechert, sister-in- law Shirley Hill, son-in-law Jim Wilson and nieces and nephews. The family would like to sincerely thank all the Doctors, nurses, care givers and staff of the Continuing Care Centre in Wesdock for their exceptional care of Peter. A memorial service will be held at a later date. An announcement will be published closer to the date and time of the service. The Westlock Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
